Marikler Girón Toensmeier is our guest and she shares the details of a program designed to empower members of the community for the development of leadership skills, community organization, conflict resolution, communication, and government. This is the Resident Leadership Program. A five weeks workshop offered free of cost to Holyoke residents, ages 15 and up. The 2017 program begins on May 4th. Sandy Ward – Mini Golf in the Library

Sandy Ward, is the mastermind behind the Mini Golf in the Library. For the second year, this fundraiser transforms the Holyoke Public Library into an 18 holes golf course, for the enjoyment of kids and adults. H.U.B.S. – Holyoke Urban Bike School

The Holyoke Urban Bike School, HUBS, is a community collaborative bike school. A workshop for youth to learn how to take care of bicycles, repair, restore, tune up, and riding safely. ArteSana

We went mobile, and the plasma media lab had a pop-up session at the ArteSana’s headquarters, located at Elm St. in Holyoke, MA. This project is fascinating! It combines community engagement, creative workshops, free English for Speakers of Other Languages classes (ESOL), and a focus on building a more equitable and sustainable world through community, creativity and entrepreneurship.
