The Holyoke Public Library has a unique space, dedicated to nurturing the needs and interests of youth in the community. Rachel Dowd is the Teen Librarian responsible for a transformation of the Teen Room to a hub for a myriad of activities that involve utilizing the Library as a safe space for reading, creativity workshops, promote self-expression, but most important, curate an inviting and welcoming space for youth to just BE.

The Teen Room at Holyoke Public Library offers several activities and keeps adding more workshops, events, and opportunities for youth in the community to get access to entertainment that builds knowledge, skills, social interaction, and a fantastic opportunity to enjoy their free time in a space dedicated to them.
