En la cultura y tradición mexicana, el 1 y 2 de noviembre están dedicados a celebrar y recordar a los difuntos que ya no están con nosotros. El Día de Muertos es una de las celebraciones más icónicas de la tradición mexicana, que también se celebra en otros países de Latinoamérica, como Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Guatemala y Perú.

Queremos compartir los antecedentes de dónde se originó esta celebración y cómo sigue cambiando y evolucionando a través del tiempo. Este segmento se grabó en la Ofrenda Comunitaria de Holyoke para el Día de los Muertos, en Holyoke, ubicada en la parte trasera del Edificio Baustein en 532 Main Street.

In Mexican culture and tradition, November 1st and 2nd are dedicated to celebrating and remembering the dearly departed who are no longer with us. The Day of the Dead or Día de los Muertos, is one of the most iconic celebrations of Mexican tradition, which also is celebrated in other countries in Latin America, like Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Guatemala, and Peru.

We wanted to share the background of where this celebration originated and how it keeps changing and evolving through time. This segment was recorded at the Holyoke Community Ofrenda for Día de los Muertos, in Holyoke, located at the back of the Baustein Building on 532 Main Street.
