We are so pleased to welcome writer and director Paloma Valenzuela who came all the way from Boston to share with us in a warm and a sparkly conversation, about her comedic web series “The Pineapple Diaries”, and the workshop on monologue writing she is doing at Gateway City Arts.
La Gringa Loca Productions brings The Pineapple Diaries, a colorful and funny sit-com based in Jamaica Plain, Boston, and portraits the predominantly Dominican environment of the neighborhood, focusing in the lives of four Latinx women, their self-discovery, and the absurdities of everyday life.
During our conversation, we made reference of one episode, and the visual sequence of making mangú. This is the aforementioned episode, “Brunch” to give a full context.
You can watch the entire two seasons of “The Pineapple Diaries” on YouTube and also subscribe to Paloma’s Channel, La Gringa Loca Productions.
