Ta’Naya. Not an easy target.

Meet Ta’Naya. She is a blind 15 years-old black girl, who recently joined our teen group for media literacy. She writes poetry, and plays piano. She is a high school student, and she is full of positive energy.

This session begins with the reading of Ta’Naya’s poem, recorded at the Holyoke Public Library’s Teen Room, with all the group gathered as audience.

In this conversation with our teen host, Shayleena, we got to learn more about Ta’Naya’s story, and to be more aware of what it means to live with a disability. A powerful and moving experience, we wanted to share with everybody.
