MLK Day ON! Youth Conference

Holyoke Youth gathered on January 16th, 2017 at the Holyoke Senior Center, to discuss several youth issues and draft a 10 years vision plan to present to the City. This is a special report with some of the topics addressed at this event, organized by The Holyoke Youth Commission, The Holyoke Youth Task Force, and The Enchanted Circle Theater.


Holyoke High School and UMass Amherst, collaborated on a course for 11th and 12th grade students titled Writing Change. Through poetry, spoken word, short stories and music, students created their own portfolio with different pieces that reflect the context of their city and community. This podcast session, features some of their work in their own voices.
